School Philosophy

L'Ecole de Danse provides an environment that enables children to learn successfully. Personal attention is paid to each child, with the primary goal being the development of correct ballet technique; at the same time, children benefit from visible improvements in posture, poise and grace. This atmosphere encourages both self-discipline and self-confidence, so that students feel pride in their own progress and develop a sense of self-motivation. Students also have the opportunity to gain on-stage experience through school performances.

L'Ecole de Danse also offers classes for adults who wish to resume a study of ballet or who are interested in exploring the joy of dancing. The adult student learns the vocabulary of a great art form while simultaneously improving physical conditions by means of the toning, stretching and loosening of the body and muscles provided by classical ballet training.
