Hello, Friends!
Welcome to the new school year at L’École de Danse School of Ballet! We would like to share some wonderful news. Please enjoy it and be our messengers in spreading it!
L’École de Danse is a non-profit organization
As of August 2015, L’École de Danse is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. The Board of the school is very excited about the opportunities before L’École de Danse and is eager to enter into the new academic year. The Board has been busy working during the summer. We are collaborating with local organizations for the arts and planning community engagement events.
As a way to broaden L’École de Danse’s audience and make available to others the wonderful dance opportunities that our school offers, please forward us information about organizations or scholarship funds supportive of the arts, as well as about individuals who love ballet and would appreciate L’École de Danse’s contribution to our community. For instance, if your employer has programs providing grants or donations in support of the arts and education, let us know.
New music, new dances and performance 2015
Over the summer, our artistic director, Christine Morgan, has worked with beautiful new music and all classes will be delighted with new compositions and choreography.
The video production of L’Ecole de Danse’s Performance 2015 is now complete and we will soon be mailing your DVD copy. If you would like to order additional copies of the DVD, please let Christine know or email "lecolededanse dot paloalto at gmail dot com". In your email, please tell us how many copies you would like and include the mailing address where you like to receive them.
Volunteer at L’Ecole de Danse!
L’École de Danse could not have succeeded without you, the students and parents of this community. We thank you for your hard work and your dedication to ballet and to the school.
We are incredibly proud of what Christine has done for the students and of the magnificent showcases she has put forth. We like to continue supporting her so that the students can continue growing under her brilliant instruction and talent. Share the reward of participation and sign up to volunteer on our L'Ecole de Danse Friends Volunteer Sheet. No job is too small!
Reach out to the community
L’École de Danse is now accepting new students in all levels. If you know of any dancers who are currently dancing at other schools, are ready to go on pointe (or are already on pointe), and if they are looking for an alternative to their current dance studio, please let them know of L’Ecole de Danse. In particular, if you know of dancers who are looking for a less intense ballet schedule, yet superb quality classes and personalized teaching, tell them about our school.
Personal recommendations create a community. As you come to the school via others’ recommendations, please do the same and recommend L’École de Danse to others. Write a kind review on Yelp! and Google, grab a poster and put it up at school, work, and elsewhere in your communities, take free-trial class passes from the studio and have a friend join you for class.
A social gathering soon – stay tuned!
We love seeing our friends and spending time together. So we decided to get together and celebrate the beginning of a new school year. An invitation will soon be in your mailbox for a gathering in the Fall. Please invite your friends to join us!
We cannot possibly overstate how grateful we are for your support and your input. We are looking forward to another fantastic academic year!
Sincerely,
The Board of L’École de Danse
